Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi! My name is Nina and I am a 23-year-old girl originally from Helsinki, Finland. I have been an au pair before in the states in 2005-2006 in Delaware and I enjoed the experience so much! I took care of 5 children there, 3 year-old twins (boy and girl), 10-year-old boy and 13-year-old twins (both girls), a dog and and a cat. This year I have been in London, England, taking care of a 2-year-old girl for 6 months and an 18-month old boy for one month. All these have been sole charge. After my time in London, I went to visit my former hostfamily in the states for 3 months. Right now I am an Au Pair through CULTURAL CARE in Manhattan and for the l,ast 6 months I have been taking care of a 6-year-old girl and a 4month old baby ever since she was born. I am going to be in transit, because my cu me dont see eye to eye anymore and there has been a lot of tension going on lately. I am looking for a family within New York City and I am more than willing to meet up in person. I love doing arts and crafts and music. I am very good at drawing and singing:) I also like to take the children outdoors and keep them active by playing games and running around in the park. I am a vegeterian, but I eat fish. I dont mind if other people eat meat though, my other hostfamilies did and I just crabbed what I could from the table:) Please note that I dont drive, but I did manage to get around the last time (and at the moment) and I am fine with not having a car:) I have also filled out the indepth interview and have a few more pictures in the photogallery.
