| ABOUT ME: Hello family!! My name is Amy, I am a 23 year old Australian girl looking for Au Pair/Nanny work in the UK in 2010. I am friendly, outgoing and reliable. I love to laugh, I enjoy meeting new people and I like to remain active as much as possible. I enjoy activities such as baking cookies, swimming, horse riding, walking and volleyball. I am an avid animal lover, a real family person and I adore children, which is why this type of work appeals to me.
EXPERIENCE: My experience in working with children stems from both a professional and personal perspective. In the past I have enjoyed working with young children as a swimming instructor and as a volunteer basketball coach. Further to this I have had a great extent of experience with child-minding and I have young nieces of my own (now 3&4yrs)with whom I have regularly cared for since birth. Additionally I volunteer at a kindergarten/childcare centre and care for children aged 8 months - 4 years. I am also a qualified nurse; I have a bachelor's degree in nursing and a postgraduate diploma in advanced mental health nursing. As a psychiatric nurse, I have gained considerable experience in working with children with significant intrapersonal, family, behavioural, social and mental health difficulties. Currently I work at a childrens hospital. I am qualified and knowledgeable in first aid and basic life support.
MY PLANS: I am planning to live and work overseas for 6-10 months (with a possibility of extension) next year. I hope to find a fun loving, happy family to work for whilst I am living in the UK. I will be accompanied by a companion and therefore require live-out scenario unless your family is willing to accommodate an Au-pair couple, in which case we would be more than happy to live-in. In any case I am flexible with my working hours and willing to accomodate your needs. I am able and willing to drive if need be.
If you think I would suit your family please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thank-you for taking the time to read my profile. I would love to hear from you!
