| Dear Family,
My name is Alizabeth, and I am a 19 year old Canadian who loves children. I have both babysat children of all different ages for over the past six years! I have also tutored many children to help them learn everything from Science and Math, to Honours English, or even the basic ABC's of the English language! I don’t smoke, and have my Food Safe Certificate, Child Babysitting Certificate, and full First Aid Training, and have a Full Drivers License with a clear record and years of experience driving my own car around! If you are looking for a smart, positive, loving, responsible au pair for your children, then please read on!
I have taken both French and Spanish in school, and have a huge appreciation for languages. I enjoy traveling, and have traveled to many countries within Africa, Europe, North America, and South America. Somehow though, I always find myself headed back to France. I absolutely LOVE the beautiful people, stunning countryside, breathtaking language, and scrumptious food that makes France so unique and wonderful. Therefore, I've decided to au pair specifically in France to both improve my French language skills, and to do what I love most: care for children.
I am hoping to take care of one or two young girls, between the ages of four and ten. If you live in a small town in the South of France, Corsica, and are in need a responsible “big sister," then look no further! I would love to be a part of your family, and help with schoolwork, cooking, driving, and anything else you may need.
I enjoy volunteering regularly all over the world, from the local soup kitchen, to building a schoolhouse in Peru. With my time I also enjoy working, and have worked in an animal hospital for a year, at The Butchart Gardens (a National historic site of Canada) for almost four years, and have been at the local grocery store for the past two years.
I currently attend the local college, and am taking courses on Child Development, Psychology, and English. Also, I worked hard to graduate high school with an A average, excelling in many classes, especially in Literature, Leadership, and Advanced English Honours. So, if you are looking for an au pair to also help your daughters with their English, whether it's homework or a game using English words, I would be happy to help!
I am a very creative person, and would love to read to your daughters, play games with them, bake and cook with them, go to the beach with them, listen to music and sing with them, teach them English in fun and interactive games! Therefore, I hope to be a fun big sister to your daughters, but also will be able to be strict with them when I need to be so they will "get ready for bed" or "help clean up the mess".
I hope to Au Pair for you starting in the spring of 2010 for three to six months, but I am flexible, and would be willing to negotiate a different schedule depending on your needs. In the mean time, I will be attending University in the fall. As your au pair I hope to become a part of your family! I would love to learn the French language, and true French culture; but above all, I hope to become a big sister for your daughters, as both a positive role model and example for them as they learn and grow!
Waiting to hear back from you,
Alizabeth |
