| Salutations to everyone reading! A todos aquellos que leen, un gran saludo! Et pour vouz aussi, Alô!! My name is Oscar, Mexican National, I have been living abroad for over a decade, and now I want to move on, and explore the world!
I am trustworthy, and I am able to learn fast - and I have also a lot to give to your family, so hopefully you find the following information intriguing. Also, I can adapt quickly to an environment and situations. I have been able to experience some extremes, and thankfully I have enjoyed them all. In the past I have lived in Saltillo, Coah.; Puebla, Puebla, and Guadalajara. I have also lived in N. Muskegon, Michigan, and McAllen, Texas. Currently in Austin. I have traveled quite a bit in both, Mexico and the US, visiting over a dozen states in each country.
I am active everyday; I grew up camping in the mountains, lakes and deserts of northern México. The outdoors is a passion of mine, and it is a great time to spend your day, wether you're just sitting below a tree while reading your current book, or gazing at the clouds or the night stars.
Interest for the fine arts, music, crafts and literature [specialy] also developed early in my lifestyle..I would love someone else to share them with me!
Besides excelling academicly, and being able to be mature, responsible, hardworking, and loyal..I must have fun too! I enjoy Chess [a lot], Domino, playing cards, videogames, playing pool, outing, cooking, et cetera! (not to leave out swimming,camping,hiking,climbing,.. all the good stuff)
My native language is Spanish, and I have taken one year of basic French, as well as 2 years of college level. I have recently completed a program and international certification for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). My career education revolves around food and beverage, hotel & lodging, travel & tourism, nutrition, catering, etc. I hold degrees or diplomas in these areas, as well as one in professional photography (another hobby of mine). I have always tried to study in depth the things that interest me truly. Being an AuPair would allow me to be inmersed with other cultures, and exploit different environments to allow me to serve better as a world citizen, and as a travel professional.
What you must be most interested in is the ability to care for the young ones. Well, I have not gotten children of my own, but I would take care of yours as if I had mine. I have after all had pets, and not that it is a fair comparison, but they both require a lot of attention and care (as well as instruction), or they may go the wrong way. Eitherway, I have never actually held a job where taking care of children is prioritized, but I am an older sibbling, I have around 10 younger second-cousins which I all saw developing [being a close-knit family], and currently, I babysit two girls (5 and 10 year olds) for a very close family friend, and this has been going on for almost three years now. I'm sure she'd be happy to provide references if requested. Note that my role will be of companion and mentor, as an instructor of foreign languages if requested, as well as a personal chef if needed, and as friend of the family, willing to partake in many other activities and responsabilities. Other duties as commanded. *Now, to let you all know, I do prefer Live-In, Full-time, living abroad. Pay is very negotiable. What counts is the experience! Hope to hear from you all soon.
