Au Pair's Message to Families

****UPDATE 2/11-2009**** I have found a family that I'm going to very soon, and stay for a year. Hi! I'm Ellen, a happy girl with a positive view of life. I live in the south of Sweden. Here's some short facts about me: I have more than 3300 hours of childcare experience, and I can provide You with references, if You would like that. I speak English (12 years) and Swedish fluently, and French (8 years) very well. I've also got basic knowledge of Spanish (1 year), German, Norwegian and Danish. I'm a really confident swimmer and I would be comfortable taking responsibility for Your children when they play in the water. I swim 2km (1.25 miles) a week. I'm a very safe driver, I've been driving since April 2006 and had a driving instructor. I've driven with children in the car, and I' ve driven both stickshift and automatic transmission. I've been trained in CPR, First Aid, swimming/lifeguard. In the future I'm going to study medicin in order to become a doctor. I play the violin (12 years) and the piano (7 years) very well, and I also have basic knowledge of the guitar, flute and drums. I have a diving certificate, and diving experience from Thailand, Greece and Egypt. I love to travel! I've been horseback riding for 13 years, and I love animals - dogs, cats, horses, birds. You name it. I've been skiing since I was about 4 years old. I'm responsible and I want You to know that I will always be concious of the safety of Your children, of course! (The video doesn't show I have more than 3300 hours of childcare experience! I got my childcare experience from caring for my sisters' children. Maxime was born in 2003, and ever since, I've been around, playing and caring for him. Later on, I got more nephews and nieces, when Elias, Lava, Matilda and Estelle were born (ages now: Maxime 6, Elias 5.5, Lava 3.5, Matilda 3, Estelle 6 months). I love to play with them all! I've also been working at a day care center (children 1-6years old) and in a school (children 6-9 years old). I've also taken care of my friends little sister, 9 years old. We play role playing games, bake cookies and make milkshakes, or go to the playground, walk their dog or play video games. We have much fun together! =) Last summer I was in France with a friend. We worked at a vineyard for a family that she knew. We also took care of the children in the family, 3 boys aged 4 year, 2.5 year and 4 months old.
