| Dear Family,
My name is Priscilla, I'm a 26 year old from Brazil. I'm the middle kid and big sister, I have an older brother, Matheus, and a younger sister, Gabriela. I live with my dad in Sumaré, SP, a small town bout one hour away from the capital of my state, São Paulo. My brother and sister used to live in my house with me and my dad but they recently moved, and I miss the house full of people. My brother have a 11 year old boy named Matheus, and he and I had lots of fun together, either on the pool or playing games inside. Sumaré is a small town, but we have a zoo, and I used to take my nephew there so we could see the animals (he always loved the aligator pit!), because he and I love animals. My friends come to visit me all the time when I'm home and usually we make a barbecue or watch a movie. My dad always loved having the house full, so usually we'd have my friends and my sister's all together doing something. On my free time, I love going to the movies and reading. I absolutelly love reading, something that I got from my dad. I remember watching him reading when I was a kid, and I guess this awaken in me a love for books. If i'm not reading, I'm a very outdoor person, and usually i'm at the gym or taking a walk with my dog and nephew on my free time. My nephew likes playing soccer (i'm terrible at it!) and he usually beats me. I also like going to concerts with my friends, although this doesn't happen very often. As of movies, I usually drive my nephew to see the kid's sensation of the moment (the last one was the new Harry Potter and we both dressed up as Harry potter characters to watch the movie). I drive for 8 years now, and I am a very good driver, never got a speeding ticket or been involved on a car accident in my life, and I know how to handle driving with kids on the car, seing as usually my nephew brings a friend along with us when we go to the movies, and I make sure to fasten their seat belts to keep them safe. I graduated in College in 2006 and my major was Advertisement. I loved studying this since it's very dinamic and creative major, which I relate with taking care of kids. You can't ever be bored around kids and working with them ofter requires the nanny to be extraordinaire in order to make them entertained - and I talk with experience, seing as my nephew is very active and will never stop bouncing around the house. I loved going to College, and I just finished my masters in Business Administration, which I thought it was very interesting, seing as it has a lot more rules and due dates than Advertisement have. I like rules and organization, but I also know when it's time to relax and have fun, so both courses taught me how to be creative and dinamic and yet, be organized. I always liked kids - I was usually the teenager playing Barbie doll's with my little cousins or playing soccer with my nephew and his cousins. Up until now I do those things. Being near a kid always reminds me of what it's like to see the world though a kid's eyes: something new and exciting. I baby sat for my mom's friend kid Zezinho when I was 13 to 16, and I spent every afternoon on weekdays with him since his mom had to work. I would feed him lunch, and I helped him with his homework and after that, we would spend the whole afternoon playing board games, soccer, swimming or watching movies. I loved taking care of him, and I learned how important it is to give a kid a good example. He was 7 years old when I started babysitting him, and I did this till he was 10. Now he is 20, works for IBM and go to one of the best Colleges in the country. Three years ago, My friend Tassia asked me to take care of her kid while she was going to College. I was finishing my last year of school, and only had classes on the afternoon, so I agreed on taking care of her kid during mornings, since Tassia's husband had to go to work. She was 3 year old, and I used to feed her breakfast, bath her, sometimes I helped with her homework if there was anything her mom couldn't do the night before and then we would walk their family dog on the park, or watch Dora and other girlie movies she liked. Playing dolls was a must! She liked coloring books and the voices I did when I was reading her a book. I baby sat for my friend for 2 years and I absolutely loved doing this. She still calls me Aunt Pris till now, a year after I stopped taking care of her. I hope I can be an Au Pair, because I want a change of life. I have been working in companies for a very long time, and I want to enable myself by working with kids, something that I love. I know this 12-24 months will be challenging at times, but I know overall I'm gonna have a great experience. I want to go to a different country because I want to learn more about other people's cultures and habits, and also to improve my English.
