Nanny job description

We have a wonderful 11 year old boy, Cameron, with a compassionate heart and a keen sense of humor, and a 5 year old boy, Kaelan, who is funny, loving and full of energy. We are looking for someone whom we can trust with our children, who will love them and care for them. Beyond taking care of Cameron and Kaelan, there are basic day-to-day household tasks, such as picking up, shopping, laundry, making the beds, and some minimal cooking. Our weekly cleaning service takes care of the house as long as we pick up daily behind everyone. Because of our professional lives we need help in keeping this house and family as a going concern! We are very relaxed in our interactions as long as responsibilities are well understood. We are looking forward to having you join us, for a long time, as a friend and a family member. We are only looking for a long term match. Since we need help more than 30 hours per week, I am sorry but we cannot hire an Aupair:(

Family's Message to Nannies

We are kind and light-hearted professionals with busy lives and two adorable children. Cameron, our oldest, is 11. He is funny, bright, affectionate, and he has a good heart. He is in sixth grade. As we are just back from 2 years in Europe he is now working very hard at catching up on the regular curriculum. Later, we expect that he will have quite a few afternoon activities. Kaelan is almost five years old and goes to school all day – although he catches colds easily. He is happy and mischievous. We hope he grows up as well as his older brother! Our family is quite laid back and relaxed. We are Californians (Michel is originally French), but recently relocated to Wisconsin after spending 2 years in Europe. We have a moderate social life, and mostly enjoy spending time together, and with some close friends. We tend to schedule our activities spontaneously and on short notice, rather than planning ahead months in advance. We all enjoy reading most of all, and our life at home is relaxed and quiet. We are both good cooks, and enjoy exposure to many foreign foods and cultures. We live in a large and comfortable house near the village of Merton, in the middle of 5 acres of forest bordering the Merton mill pond. Your room is furnished with antique French furniture, with a view over the garden. You share a bathroom with Cameron. We have had live-in childcare with us ever since Cameron was a few weeks old, so we are very comfortable with having someone else in the house and in the family, and we are easy housemates. We are looking for a friend and a member of the family, easy to live with, with a strong sense of responsibility, and whose privacy standards are comparable to ours.
