Family's Message to Au Pairs

Hello! We are seeking an au pair who is a warm-hearted, open-minded, outgoing, flexible individual. We prefer someone who's experienced, especially with looking after a toddler. We are a family of six; the eldest of the four children is 20-year old Martin, then Marie who is 17, a football-fanatic Mathias who's 13, and Sophia who will be turning 4 in December. Since August of 2007, Sophia has been going to a kindergarten that's just in the neighborhood. We live in Asker, a cosy town that's 26 km from Oslo. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quite a convenient location from the center. The center boasts of a shopping mall, a newly-built library, a world-class cinema, nice bars and restaurants. Naturewise, the place is superb with its close proximity to the woods where one could go for a short/long walk during spring and summer and go skiing on winter time. Just ca 1.5 km from our place is Folkeuniversitetet i Asker where one could go to for the Norwegian course. We have had several au pairs before and still are in contact with them. Should it be needed, one of them could provide references. Since I am a Filipino, our family is prevented by the Norwegian law to take an au pair of the same nationality. The reason being that this contradicts the purpose of being an au pair, which is to learn the culture of the host family. In this regard, Filipino au pairs/ nannies need not apply.
