Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are looking for a fun,bright, dynamic, enthousiastic independent girl between the age of twenty and thirty, who is willing to take care of our three children of four years & two years and our baby daughter of three months. We are looking for a mature, energetic, responsible, indepedent person. You will take care of kids, cook simple meals, drive kids to school, wash and do light household duties. We live in the countryside close to Antwerp. A driver's license is required and so is a fluency in English. During the week a few nights include babysitting, weekends are free. We can arrange fo your living or you can yourself. We offer a great job with an according salary,but we do require maturity from our au pair. Are you a girl who can, together with us, develop our children into fun, caring and well educated people and take care of our house in a nice, tidy way? Are you wiling to take responsibility of our family and house when we are gone in exchange for a great experience?

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Au pair, Here is a small introduction of our family and your duties. We are a young & fun Dutch, Finnish family of five: mother (31), father (33), two sons (4 & 2) and a daughter (2 months). We speak both Dutch and English with our children, they understand and speak both. I also speak Finnish. Both parents understand and speak good French and German too. We expect our future au pair to be fluent in English or Dutch, preferably English. Currently we live in the city centre of Antwerp, a pretty town in Flanders, Belgium. We are moving to the countryside soon. Close to the new house is a straight bus connection to the city. Dad is a real estate developer and works full time. I work part time as a journalist for a magazine. I run/jog in my free time and dad plays field hockey on Sundays. The boys love trains and construction sites. Building puzzles and reading books are big favorites. Playing outside is another big hobby! Baby girl loves snuggling and eating! I love for the kids to go for a daily walk or bike ride. We have worked with an American au pair for the last three years and are now looking for a new lovely, caring, warm and responsible girl between 21 and 30 years of age. We require you to have finished high school and to be able to cook simple meals. A first aid course and previous experience are an absolute plus. We are a fun family and are very open for you to bring new culture to us; we would love to learn new songs, new traditions and habits. We will on the other hand expect you to be mature, independent and enthusiastic. Being ‘hands on’ is important. We expect you to help me with the kids when I am home and to be with the children when we are both working. Boys go to school, baby girl stays home. Before school getting the boys dressed and fed are your responsibility, as well as making snacks and lunchboxes for school. Some mornings you drive the boys to school, so a driving license is necessary. Baby girl stays home and does not go to daycare. Mornings consist of playing with her and of some light housekeeping, like making beds, taking care of laundry. Other light household tasks are expected to be done too i.e. emptying dishwasher. Then boys are to be picked up at noon. Afternoons consist of playing, preparing dinner and getting boys ready for bed (after bath) in the evening.
