Nanny's Message to Families

My name is Kelly, I’m 23 years old and I live in Corning, NY which is a very interesting, small city that focuses on the arts and music. I love being around children and I like finding new adventures and being creative and active! Anything from arts and crafts to being outside to reading as much as possible Im open to! I have a very calm, fun and nurturing personality. I like to do things and try new things with kids because I want to infuse them with good memories of me so that they will remember alot of the fun times they experienced and smile looking back. I have many years of experience in childcare that range from babysitting in my teen years to childcare teacher in a preschool center to more recently, at-home care. Also, I do have experience with special needs kids as well. I hold a New York State and Pennsylvania Certified Nurse Assistant License, and your kids would be more than safe in my care! Although I had the intentions of working in the hospital or medical setting with my license, my passion is truly working with kids, so I have decided to use this license in the childcare field instead and do what I enjoy the most. I have so many hobbies and interests! I would thank my mom and dad for raising me in an artistic environment, Corning, NY. Because of this, I had opportunities to participate in painting and drawing, photography and all kinds of art, and I appreciate music just the same. I am a pretty physically active person and I like to be outdoors as much as I can doing anything really. I feel that I get along with kids so great because I have some of the traits that kids have- I'm fun-loving, active and creative, imaginitive. I foster all of these traits in kids because these qualities are an important part of who they are! :-) I prefer to find a longer-term nanny position, because I look forward to integrating into your family and would consider you as part of my family as well. I am the middle child in my family-I think that I was born with a caring and nurturing gene! :-) I have an older brother that is married to a wonderful woman with a new baby boy that was born July 1, 2009. I also have a younger sister that is 15 and just finished cheerleading for the football season at her school. I have very strong morals, not just in family but in every aspect of my life. I do not smoke and I dont drink and I live a health lifestyle. As I was growing up, my family has been extremely close-knit, and I look forward to finding a family similar in nature!
