be a Mum to our kids: loving them but also disciplining them - preparing/cooking food - washing up (leaving the kitchen clean behind) - playing with the kids (e.g. going out for walks every day regardless of the weather, going to the playground, to parks, to do handicrafts, encouraging the kids to write, draw, paint and to do other crafts, take them to playgroup (if scheduled), escorting the kids to parties - participating in kids activities -being part of our family philosophy - tiding up the house at the end of the day (especially toys) - change clothes etc. of kids -get them out of bed and prepare them for the day - bath and prepare for bed (if necessary) - shopping for the family (if necessary) - talk English to the kids - house work (everything that concerns the kids, we have a cleaning lady) – babysitting.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Nanny, we are a young fun family of 5 that lives in Solothurn not far from Berne, Bale and Zurich. Solothurn is a small town with app. 16000 inhabitants but is a center of education and culture. Both Mum and Dad work at big international companies. Our 3 girls are: 1 (Dec 08), 3 1/2 (March 06) and 5 1/2 years old (March 04). You are responsible for all of them, especially when Mum works (which is TUE, WED every 2nd THU). The eldiest goes to Kindergarten every day, the middle one goes to playgroup twice a week, the strawler is at home. We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and warmhearted and fun Nanny who loves being together with kids, who loves spending time with them, discovering with them the wonders of the world in everyday life, telling them stories, going out to explore nature e.g. forest, discipline them if necessary, who would like to integrate in a family with international background, who is spontaneous and flexible and knows that living and being with kids is a very big responsibility.
