Au Pair/Nanny job description

We have 3 young children, a 4 year old boy, a 3 year old girl and an 18 month old boy, so we could certainly use the help. They are well mannered and (relatively) well behaved children. They are currently enrolled in day care, but we would be pulling them out, so planned activities would be important. We would be putting them into programs (music, ballet, soccer, etc), but would want their days to be filled with activities and not just sitting around watching TV. We are fairly laid back people and parents. We do have rules for the kids, but they bend when the situation warrants it.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

I have recently started a new job selling Wind Turbines (renewable energy) and my wife works for the local Jewish Day School 30+ hours per week, along with keeping me sane, running our house, raising our kids and volunteering (yes, she's Wonderwoman) We are both involved in our local community as well as in our Jewish community. We live in a 5 bed, 5 bath home in Hendersonville - a suburb of Nashville, TN. The house is on the lake, complete with dock, boat, jet-ski, kayak, pool, etc. We do keep a kosher home, so we would explain to you what that means, as far as what foods can be brought into the house (essentially - anything vegetarian, only kosher meat), but we don't care about what you would eat out. Hendersonville is a bit of a sleepy-ish town, so if you are looking for a raucous night life experience, this isn't the place. Downtown Nashville is great for that - 2nd Avenue and Broadway (the live music scene) are great fun every time you go, but its a 30 minute drive. We also have 3 hairless non-allergenic dogs (1 Chinese Crested Hairless, 1 powderpuff, and one Mexican Hairless - I used to do rescue - its a long story). They are all small and sleep in one crate together. Not really your responsibility, but something you should know about. That's about it. Like I said would be looking for someone for at least a year, preferably 2 or even more. If this sounds like something you'd like, let us know.
