Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family, My name is Megan and I am more than interested in becoming an Au Pair, primarily in Australia. I am an extremely responsible, motivated, energetic and also fun young american woman. I have a warm and friendly personality and am dedicated to caring for children. Traveling and becoming and Au-Pair has been one of my goals and dreams since I was a child. The country its self is fascinating to me and I love children with all of my heart. My biggest passion is helping others in any way that I can. I love to volunteer and spend my time doing community service. I am 18 years old, but extremely mature, and reliable for my age. I have just graduated high-school early this year and would love to spend my time working as an Au-Pair in a new and exciting place. I am very adventurous and love traveling and spending my time learning about new people and cultures. My experience consists of 6 years of babysitting. I recently have returned back from a 3 month volunteer trip in Africa. I traveled alone and volunteered and lived in an orphanage in Kenya. During my stay in the orphanage I was an "au-pair" or "nanny" for the children there. I assisted them with their daily activities as well as tutor them with their school work. I gained a lot of experience with children, some days I would even be in charge to make sure the whole house of 25 children was running smoothly! I created various projects and different learning activities for the children in the home to do. This trip changed my life and is part of the reason I wanted to graduate early, to travel,work, and learn. I am a very active/athletic person myself and would keep your child active with different creative games, sports and also projects for learning and fun.I love to run and play sports. I also love to paint, art is another one of my passions. I am a very responsible person but will also do my best to nurture your child or children. That is the most important thing. I have: 1.
