Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello! I am a recent graduate of the University of Virginia in Architecture and I have taken one year of set design courses towards my master of fine arts. While at the University I was an active member of a debating society, worked as a University tour guide, and was the president of the swing dance club at the University. I grew up on a farm in a large family and love being outside playing games, hiking, and running around. I love sports but grew up playing only soccer. Over the past 18 years I've played, coached and refereed in all different age groups. I also have worked in a theater for the past three years as the head scenic charge so I would lead paint crews and have done some construction of sets. Overall I am an easygoing person who can go with the flow but also loves organization and for things to be clean--it's easier to have fun when you can find the things you need!! Currently I am the nanny for an 11-year old boy for a single mother and help with daily chores and organization of the house. However, I have lived in the Charlottesville, VA area my entire life and feel it is time to break out into the world. Thanks, Mary
