| Dear My Host Family,
I am the eldest of three children that grew up in a truly supportive and loving family! Even though we are not rich my parents do their best and work hard to send us to school to give us a great future. We were encouraged to constantly try new things and to take on challenging situations. We were fortunate to have our Mother home with us as a child and know this one on one attention was key in our development and is largely responsible for the person we were today. I graduated in October 2006 with Bachelor of Science in Nursing a four year Degree Course in Unciano Colleges Inc. I am currently working in a Call Center as a Sales Agent. My plan was to get a job as an au pair, then, I want to practice my Profession as a Nurse, have my Master’s Degree to continue my advocacy in helping people. I’ve been helping my mother taking care of my sister since she was a child who needs special care and attention, and take full responsibility of her when my mom and dad work away from home. Sending her to and from school, supervising with homework. Plan and undertake developmental and play time activities with her, teaching her values, develop her speech, letters, numbers, colors and lines, and good traits towards people that surrounds her. I am both a playmate and a disciplinarian. As her sister I have to be her tower of strength and a well of comfort. Seeing a smile on her face grown up and healthy was very rewarding and fulfilling.
I have lots of interests like music, movies, sports, arts and crafts and spent all my times reading books. I am fun and outgoing, I’m good at organizing things and a good listener is what I can offer to a friend who is in need. I want to live somewhere that I will improve my quality of life by really understanding what my core needs and interests are–and will be. It’s either in the Phil’s or abroad.
I want to become an au pair because I really love being around with children. I enjoy seeing them grow up and learning about the world. I also hope to learn about other country’s culture and traditions. I want to give children a one on one attention and support they need and give parents a peace of mind they need when leaving their children in the hands of someone else. I am excited to be in a position where I spend my days with children and share in their world. I want to help nurture their development and have a positive impact on their lives. I believe the children are treasures, a joy to be around, and a delight to see everyday.
My goal as an au pair is to do my job as expected while having fun and loving and caring for the children as my own. I am willing to do housekeeping needed. I think that my character and personality consists of a variety of traits, which work together to form a balanced, driven, happy, dedicated and loving, fun, caring and loyal individual. I believe in setting high standards and goals for myself, then working hard to achieve them. I love new challenges and new beginnings, but I also find comfort and joy in the things and people that are familiar and dear to me.
The children and I would do lots of activities that include art projects, storytelling and other library activities, music, educational activities, exercises and games. I am very much looking forward to being a part of your caring, nurturing household! Thanks for considering my profile!
Sincerely,
Jennifer |
