Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi, my name is Steinunn and i come from Reykjavik, Iceland. I am currently studying pre-medicine at the Commercial Collage of Iceland and will finish my degree in spring 2010. I wish to study medicine at the University of Oslo, starting Autumn 2011. I come from a wonderful family, I have one younger sister who I love more than anyone. My mom is the strongest person I know, I look up to her greatly. I love being around children. I am really fun to be around, children love me. I am truly a kindhearted young women. I have trained many sports; football, handball, badminton and dance. I was in the national team for girls under 17 in football. I have really good work experience with children. I play the piano and sing. I am a really good student and can easily teach children If needed. I have been a tutor girl for 3 years. I do not smoke, I do not drink alcohol and overall I am very healthy. I love baking and cooking and I have worked in a kitchen for the YMCA. I have a lot of experience in childcare. I started babysitting when I was 10 years old. I have trained football in my team Valur, there I train 7-9 year old boys. I have worked in the children's day-care in Valur for 2 summers. I have worked in summer camp for the YMCA for children at the age 6-14 years. I have good experience teaching children and teenagers, my majors are English, Danish, Math, Biology and Chemistry. After the Aupair programme I wish to enter The University of Oslo, I wish to study medicine. I would love to settle down in Norway, it is a beautiful country.
