| Dear family,
My name is Ines and herewith I would like to introduce myself, my family and my friends, so you can get a clearer picture of me as a person who will spend a year living together with you while taking best care of your children. I hope that after you read this letter you will feel like you have known me forever, wishing for me to become the babysitter of your kids. I was born on February 5, 1988 in the city of Tuzla. After I finished my elementary school education (8 grades) in Tuzla in 2002, we moved to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. My mother wanted to provide the best possible education for my sister and me; that is the reason why she decided to take us to Sarajevo. I still live in this amazing, vibrant city. In Sarajevo I finished the classical high school as the best student of my class. In 2006 I enrolled at the School of Economics of the University of Sarajevo, and graduated in July 2009. Now allow me to introduce my family. My parents got divorced in 1996. I don’t see my dad very often since he is on business trips a lot. I live with my mother Sena, my stepfather Safet and my older sister Lejla. I consider us a great, strong family for we are very close to each other and never make a decision without the advice and support of the others. My mum is a nurse; she is very caring and loves to help people. She dedicated her whole life to convey these values to my sister and me. My stepfather is a police robably one of the kindest people I know. A strong feeling for justice and fairness is the characteristic trait that describes him best. My sister Lejla is 25 years old and she is a Law School graduate. Lejla is the person whom I admire most. She largely contributed to the development of my personality and I definitely see her as a role model. She is my best friend and she is always there for me. I embraced Lejla's love for traveling. In 2006 I visited Prague and in 2007, the capital of Austria, Vienna. In April 2009 my parents presented me with a trip to Paris and Berlin as a gift for my graduation from the School of Economics. Together with my friends I spent the most exiting 15 days in my life. In our spare time, my sister and I volunteer in the City Orphanage where we organize different social games and help children with their homework. We also read with them and play often in the park or take them to the cinema or children theatre. My sister married her long-time boyfriend Dennis in June. They left for the United States in August. They will spend a year in NY because her husband got the Fulbright Scholarship at the Columbia University. I am so happy for them. My parents taught me that honesty, steadfastness, diligence, work and ambition are the most important things for a successful living. I am really happy to have grown up in an environment full of love and respect. They taught me to believe that nothing is impossible if you want enough. I am a big fan of film and theatre art. I try to go to cinema or theatre as often as possible. Sarajevo is famous for the best film festival in the South-East Europe, the Sarajevo Film Festival. In my leisure time I do photography. Last year I took a photography course where I learned a lot about this form of artistic expression. I also read a lot. Books enrich me in every possible way and help me to find my inner peace. Finally I would like to mention that I am a person who adores children and who never finds it difficult to take care of them. I truly enjoy their company, playing with them and helping them in their development and learning. I also have experience in babysitting.
For the past five years I have been using my summer vacation to go to my hometown Tuzla and take care of a 5-years-old boy Alan, since he was born. In Sarajevo I also took care of the twins Adnan and Ajla, who were also 5 years old. I will always remember the moments we spent together. We became very close, because I always tried to build up a relationship of trust and understanding. In my opinion, this is the best environment in which a child learns new things and develops his skills and personality. I am a patient and calm person and nothing in regard to children makes a problem for me. On the contrary, I am more than happy to take care and look after kids, make them laugh and become their true friend. I am also looking forward to the opportunity to become a part of your family and I do believe it is a true fortune. Besides my big love for children and my wish to visit and travel the USA and meet different cultures and customs, I would like to become an au-pair also because of the knowledge and experience I will gain. I will do my best to provide for your children a year of friendship, laughing, learning and fun, just as my parents and my sister have provided their whole life for me.
Looking forward to meet you! Sincerely yours, Ines
