Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are a happy family of single dad, 11 year old girl, 9 year old boy and two dogs. We live in George Town, Grand Cayman near to schools and downtown but we are all in the ocean every chance we get! As a working parent I need an au pair to help me with the care of two great kids who are increasingly self sufficient. We presently have a wonderful aupair who has been with us for three years, however family issues require her to return home for an undetermined period of time. We are seeking a loving caring person who is responsible and fun-loving but mature enough to recognize the serious nature of helping to raise two young people. Driving is a critical role for this job so only persons with a drivers license and at least a little driving experience can be considered.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are seeking an active caring addition to our family. Someone who can collect the kids from school, take them to their scheduled activities (dance, gymnastics, etc.), help with homework, and fix a light dinner until I return from work. I occasionally must travel for short periods of time and occasionally am late getting home, so the ideal person will be flexible and not mind helping with grocery shopping. Most housekeeping needs such as laundry and housecleaning are already taken care of twice per week, but occasional light clean-up would be expected. Our aupair is welcome to participate in everything we do, she will be treated as a part of our family, not as an employee.
