Nanny's Message to Families

Dear family, my name is Cristin and I'm 21 years old. I'm mature beyond my years and have been changing nappies since the age of four. I am the eldest grandchild in my family, which is where I got most of my early babysitting jobs from. And I have been babysitting for different families for five years now. I have been educated through Irish since the age of three so I am fluent in both Irish and English. I have been a nanny to three amazing families and I have worked in a creche, so I have experience caring for children from the ages of 6 months upwards. My first nanny position was when I was 17, minding a 10 month old boy named Dylan. I only held the position for the summer, as I had to return to school to complete my Leaving Cert. I was heart-broken when I had to stop minding him. The next nanny post that I started was last year where I cared for three brilliant boys aged 7, 5 and 2.5 years. It was a hectic and busy job, but I loved the boys and still babysit them regularly! I then started working for a family in Celbridge, their daughter Lucy was 9 months old when I started. She's a beautiful little girl and I try to see her as much as possible now (I had to leave the position as my employer was made redundant). I love reading and telling stories, and as an ex-drama student, my stories always involve a bit of dramatics. I am also very creative/artistic so I like doing art with children. I am passionate about children's education and ensuring that they get the best start in life possible. Whether a child is 8 months or 8 years, their ability to learn is so strong. It is important to stimulate their brains and aide them in the learning process. I am looking for an easygoing family who will make me feel like part of the family. I am currently living in Maynooth in Kildare but my boyfriend lives in Clondalkin, and I stay there when needed, therefore I can service the Kildare and Dublin areas. I am currently studying part-time for a degree in Interior Design in Griffith College Dublin, so on Monday and Tuesday evenings I will need to be in college by 6:30pm.
