| I believe this family is not legitimate. I got a message saying they added me to their hotlist, but within minutes of that e-mail being sent their profile was deactivated. I've recieved multiple e-mails from "Sigurd" directing me to the family's "personal website" that has very believable pictures as well as a form to fill out to give them my personal information. I replied to his first e-mail declining his offer, but received another with the link to the website with a form to give them personal information. It appears that this e-mail was automatically generated as a response to my initial reply as it assumed I was interested in the position rather than declining. Also, their initial e-mail to me did not match my profile at all, which is another reason I believe "Sigurd" either doesn't exist or is trying to run a scam. I don't know what the purpose of this scam may be, but be careful. He also may try it with different pictures, names, or nationalities for all I know; I never even got a chance to see the profile. |

I have also been contacted by them; profile deactivated there as well. I took time deciding what I wanted to reply but before even having responded, I got a standardized email back where mostly they wrote about their Swedish estate (business?) and also they sent one of those questionnaires. I cannot verify that this would be a scam but it is not your usual hostfamily application either, and I put them on my blacklist for my email. If I remember correctly, they claim to have two children yet they only require care for one, though both are at an age where they would need caring for.

Yes I agree; I got hotlisted by them as well but no profile information available. As I wanted to think about the offer (or, how to best turn it down) for a day I did not reply. Before I ever had a chance to email them I got a standardized email (something like "Thank you for your interest" with a long text) and also the questionnaire. They are awfully annoying about advertising their "homeswedehome" estate business, although they themselves probably seem nice enough. I have blacklisted them from my email account when they described having two children (a girl and a boy) yet only needing care for one boy - or at least, they didn't mention the girl anywhere else throughout the email, despite her being young enough to still need care. They are definitely not your usual family.
