| Magdelena has been working for us for a couple of months. In spite of having been sent a very detailed description of her duties and working hours she started complaining about the job as soon as she arrived. She complained that was treated as a slave and had to do too much cleaning but we had a cleaning lady who was cleaning 10 hours a week in our place and doing the ironing as well. Besides this she was going out every night until 4 a.m. and was waking us up every time she was arriving back home because she was chatting on the computer at 5 a.m. Obviously in the morning she was unable to look after my child. Instead, she would spend hours in front of TV and the computer. And on the week-ends she would not even say hello to him!
Besides having no manners at all, She took my bike to go out one evening knowing that she was not allowed to and it was stolen. She opened my personal mail in order to hide her phone bill -which was in my name so that she could enjoy cheaper rates at calling- and not having it deducted from her salary. She took all the money out of our child’s piggy bank. When she went back to Canada she owed us the huge amount of $500.
Shortly before she left she was supposed to go on a holiday in our home in Italy. Unfortunately the apartment was not available anymore and I found her a place to stay at some very good friends’. She was unhappy with the solution and we had a big discussion. I told her I didn’t want her in my house anymore and she went to the Police where she declared that she had been beaten. Of course this never happened and after hearing witnesses the charges against me were withdrawn.
During her whole stay in my house I had to handle her father as well to whom she was constantly lying. He kept calling me and sending me e-mails in which he threatened me with calling the Police. |
