I don't know if I was scammed or Elizabeth is just a flake. After a least of month of email communication and two telephone conversations she just vanished into thin air never to be heard from again. On July 8, 2007 we spoke on the phone and agreed to have a face to face interview and to meet the family. I sent her the email ticket and gave her all the arrangements, put my kids in the car the following weekend, traveled to the airport, and waited at the gate until all the passengers got off and no Elizabeth. Numerous emails and cell calls have all gone unanswered. $375 down the drain. Moral of the story - trust but verify no matter how comfortable you feel with the Au Pair candidate.
