She accepted the job,with a one-year contract, and after 2 weeks decided she wanted to spend the time at home with her mom instead (she couldn't figure that out before accepting the job and having my kids get attached to her?) She gave two weeks notice, and then the next Monday when she was supposed to come back she just sent an email saying she was sick and wouldn't be back - didn't bother to call (or say goodbye to the kids). When I called her, PO'd, she hung up on me. Note, the week before she didn't work all of the hours and we paid her anyway, because she was going to put in extra hours over the next two weeks when the kids were out of school. She was a good nanny, good with the kids, but unprofessional and not responsible - no consideration for how her actions affect other people.
