We are an easy-going American husband and Chinese wife with 2 children ages 9 and 11 years old. We are seeking to hire someone able to help taking care of our children and home. We are exploring hiring a housemaid, but also screening applicants to work as an Au Pair, so you can see our post about that position, which is similar but not exactly the same.

We previously lived in the Middle East and China, and we employed multiple maids and nannies. We have previously employed helpers who could do housekeeping including laundry, cleaning, cooking, caring for our dog, gardening, and child care, and we prefer someone as capable as our previous helpers. We are seeking someone who is mature, responsible, able to do housework and child supervision. If you are a teacher able to assist with tutoring that would be great.

We provide a standard salary, private sleeping bedroom with bathroom, food, health insurance, return air ticket at the end of contract, 4 weeks vacation yearly.

We prefer to find someone with a US visa or living in the USA already. We will screen candidates by email and video call, and possibly have them interview and speak with previous nannies we have had.

We can get an USA Au Pair visa for a good candidate, this requires several months, and applicants must be less than 26 years old to apply for this visa.

We will consider applicants of any age. If we have to sponsor a visa, the age limit for this type of visa (Au Pair) is 26 years, so we prefer someone 20-24, but we will consider up to age 25.

It will probably take several months to complete all documents and requirements for recruitment, we hope to do this quickly but want to wait for the right person to match our family.
