I saw your post and your family looks really great and I think we could be a good fit so I’d love to connect with you regarding your needs.
For some background about me; I am from the state of Vermont and graduated high school from Kimball Union Academy, which is boarding school located in a small town in New Hampshire. I took a gap year to do internships, volunteer, travel and work. I am an extremely hard worker and have loved being around and working with children. I have attended an all-girls summer camp since I was 8 years old. I then went on to work there as a counselor-in-training, which entailed living in cabins and working with girls who were as young as 5 and came from a variety of backgrounds. While working at the camp, I assisted and organized many activities, as well as helped my cabin get up in the morning, sat with them at meals, helped them get to their activities etc. I like to think of myself as providing a good example for the young girls at the camp, as many of them come for the entire summer and need someone who they feel comfortable with and can turn to should any issues arise. Working at the camp was easily the best part of my summer and provided me with a lot of hands-on experience with kids.
Additionally, I have babysat for a variety of families and kids as young as 2- months old and as old as 15 years old. During the school year I nanny for a family of 6 (3-year old twin boys, 5 year old girl, and 8 year old girl).
I am very mature and independent. In fact, I spent 100 days at a semester program called The Island School, that focused on leadership, independent thinking, and resiliency, away from any contact with the "real world", except for one call per week. I love trying new things as well as everything related to the outdoors. I am a responsible driver with a clean record, have lots of patience, and am willing to help with errands, cooking, cleaning, and/or driving to various activities. My most recent accomplishment is that I just graduated from The University of Vermont with a Bachelors of Science in Professional Nursing. I plan to start working as a pediatric nurse around the month of October and am looking to join someone's family as an au pair before jumping into the world of nursing!
