Hello dear host family,
I´m Fernanda, I´m 35 years old and currently working in Brazil as an ESL teacher. I am graduated in law (international law) but I´m not working in this field as I realized later that I love teaching and I´m sure that I can and know how to do that well. I have been teaching for over 14 years.
Before finish my law school, I used to live in USA as an Au Pair, there I had the opportunity to live with two jewish host families, first in Boston-MA in 2007-2008 but also in Los Angeles-CA in 2014-2016. I took care of kids from 03 months to 12 years old.
It was a great experience for sure and I will be forever thankful to Americans for teaching me their language and being patient with me as an student! hehe


I would love to repeat this experience of working as an Au Pair abroad as I love to learn about others cultures. I believe that learning about others cultures will help me increase my teaching skills as an ESL teacher. I teach English to young people who are learning the language to study abroad after they finish school here in Brazil. So, I believe that it is super important for myself if I keep learning about the world so I will always be able to keep helping my students out.
