We are looking for a mothers helper (as i work from home) Nanny / Housekeeper to start as soon as Feb.. 1, 2012 or as close to that as possible. So please if you are not eligible to work in Canada now do not apply.

I have 4 children - Jack is our wonderfully little boy who has just turned 12. Then we have 9 year old Taya she is a very funny and very easy to love little soul. Then we have Lane she is 8 years old - she is all girl and a non-spot talker:) last but not lease is our Baby girl Dani. Dani is 5 but she is a special angle sent from heaven - she is the size of a 3 year old and is more like a 6 month old. She holds her sippy cup but she must be feed. She cannot sit up on her own yet, but is really working hard on it. She is our forever baby and very easy to love.

The day begins by helping me get the kids get dressed, fed , lunch's made and ready for school. Jack walks himself to the bus and Lane and Taya need to be taken to school but that is something I do. Getting them dress, with lunches etc. is the busiest part of the day. Dani stays at home and this is the time of the day we / you would enjoy the quite time . You will feeding Dani her breakfast and bathing her. (she loves bath time) Dani has an aid that come in to our home 4 afternoons a week . She works with Dani to maximize her potential and is a wonderful part of Dani and all our lives. During that time of the day you are free from all children and are required to do housework like vacuuming, cleaning, laundry, tidying , organizing and some times light meal prep. every now and then. The girls need to get pick up at 2:30 (the end of their school day) Their school is only a few blocks away so driving is not required. This pick up time is a shared thing between myself and the nanny depending on my schedule. I work from home but if I am out at meetings then the Nanny will do the pick up. Dani is still being cared for by her aid Terry so you do not need to bring her when this happens, If I am not at meetings I tend to do the pick up. The girls really like this - Jack take a bus to and from school.

We would like our au pair to do play with Dani such as playing with different textures, using her hands and increasing strength. splashing in the hot tub. Dani needs to be exposed to as many learning opportunities as possible. She loves music and being read to. She loves being sung to and talked to. She is just a forever baby and loves baby games. She does need to be put into a standing frame (something i will help do as well as her aid in the afternoon)

The kids will all look to the nanny for play time but they all know that they have to put away their coats, boots, back packs first and then bring up their books and lunch kits for review. It is this part of the day when they are all at home that life can get busy. As they first must do there homework. (mostly reading) and they all must spend a few minutes playing piano before they can play, watch TV , etc. Then it time for TV, Crafts, games,music and imagination, After homework it over it is just time to be a happy kid. This is a great time for you to be a kid as well.

Dinner I usually cook by me and Gary usually clean up... you are always welcome to help if you like cooking. You are always welcome to join us for dinner as my home will be your home but we will also understand and respect your need for space, privacy and time away from the family. So really you will just be family. We want someone who wants to be part of a family.
