My name is Steve , born in poor land rocked country in Africa called Malawi, its a mountainous lift valley country. We have small lake called lake Malawi formally known as lake Nyasa.
I am from the northern part of Malawi, from the district of Nkhata-Bay. Malawi is 3rd poorest country in Africa not to mention in the world. The place I am coming from people live on half or 0 dollar a day, this is just a reality there.
I tried my level best to trying to finish my high school by helping myself through informal business whereby I had to go to the lake and buy some fish and market them in the village, was very hard but I had no option but to do.
After I finished my high school, I decided to further my study in South Africa but without anyone to sponsor me was very hard to put my dream into a reality. I tried with all my ability to raised the funds for my passport and thereafter I had to find money for transport of which I did.
While in South Africa, I had to work extra harder as a house keeper in order to raise funds for my studies. I came to South Africa in the year of 2000 then 2001 I enrolled for an ITC(Information Technology Communication) course of which I studied up to National Certificate, I could not continue it due to fact that I had to assist my siblings at home with financial support.
In the year of 2002 I applied to studied in Canada, they I accepted me but then they wanted me to show them that I am financial sounding but due to the opposite scenario I failed to qualify but Canada has been the country of choice since then due to cultural diversity. I fell in love with Canada, I have not given up, my dream is to work in Canada one day.
In 2002 I got married to my wife Dollah and we have two kids together, Brian and Jack, 7 and 12 years old both boys.
I have worked as a house keeper for more than 10 years with kids and did help my employers with office work as well.
My duties as a House keeper were; cleaning, washing, ironing, baby sitting, helping in preparing food for the families. I have also worked as gardener, cutting lawns, trimming hedges, pruning and many more.
Finally I am a go getter person, trustworthy, truthful, eager to learn new things. I am responsible, diligent, go extra mile and I work well under pressure and with minimal/without supervision.
I understand and believe that my massive experience will gradually be a beneficial to my future employer.
