We are looking for an au pair that is dynamic, creative and knows how to entertain small kids. We hope you to be social, open-minded, flexible and trustworthy in order to allow a smooth integration within our family. You would be getting Kato from school and Florian from daycare. Therefore, we have a car at your disposition.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Hello there, As you can see on our picture, we are four in our family (if the cat Balthazar counts it’s actually five). My name is Annick and my husband is Peter . Together we have 2 kids. Kato (girl) and Florian (boy). They are 3,5 years and 1,5 year old. Both of them are very energetic and social. Especially Kato loves running around the garden and the house. Currently we have a Brazilian au pair, Patricia which the kids adore. She will return to her country by end of February and that's why we are looking for our next au pair. We both have a busy professional life. I obtained a masters in Economics nine years ago, and currently work at PwC as a manager within business consulting. My husband obtained a master in Computer Science and is currently one of the partners of Delaware consulting. Within our family we speak Dutch, and we would encourage you to learn to speak Dutch too (we would pay you an intensive course of 1,5 months). As Belgium is very small and one can not survive with Dutch alone, we both speak both French and English very well. We both used to do a lot of sports such as windsurfing, cycling, running and motor biking. However, since the kids arrived, playing around with them is now what makes up most of our practice ;-). We live in a village 15 minutes (by car) from downtown Ghent. Ghent is one of the Flemish medieval cities with great opportunities for sports, theatre, dining, education, etc… A while ago we bought a very old house which we have been renovating over the past years. Since last year we moved to the house which is really great living. The kids have much more space now and adore the garden. We would have a separate apartment (room, kitchen, bathroom) for you which is 10 meters away from the main house itself. As such you will have your own privacy at times you are not around the kids or with us.
