| Dear Au Pair, we have a lively household with 3 kids, all of them gifted. We would like you to have heaps of energy, love toddlers, and it will be important that you are interested in gifted kids and their development. We live semi-country, about half an hour away from Auckland, with a dog , a big backyard, about 10 mins away from next beach. We have a spa pool, ready for you to jump in. We are "easy going", a bit alternative, but not extremly. We both work and need support with the little one and the mounting house work! You will work for about 20 hours per week and cook dinner 3 times a week, great kids' cook books are available and Au Pairs have cooked with these healthy and yummy dinners! We believe in respectful child rearing and your patience with children is a must. Mom is a kids therapist and Dad is a computer geek. :) We are not rich but have a comfortable life style. It is important you anticipate the work, that you are organized and think and plan your work well. |
| Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies |
| It will be great to have you here. NEW ZEALAND IS GREAT AND THE SUMMER IS COMING! IT IS A BREATHTAKING PLACE. THE KIDS LOVE GOING TO THE BEACH AFTER SCHOOL. On the weekends we will usually go to fun places (swimming, beaches, surfing, city, shopping with the girls etc.), and you are welcome to join us occasionaly! There is also an Au Pair Club in the area if you want to socialize with other Au Pairs! If you stay longer than 6 months we will also offer you to take a childcare class at no cost for you. We also would like you to teach some German to our little boy. Our house is about 25 mins away from Auckland. You will have your own sleep-out. We share a bathroom in the main house. Here is what we would like from our next Au Pair: Patience and an openess to learn, flexibility, friendliness, LOVE for KIDS, honesty. We will teach you to drive on the left side of the road.
