| Dear family, I am so happy you want to know more about me. As you read in my profile I am from Honduras. I was born and raised in a christian family. I am the oldest of 3 siblings; my sister is 18 and my little brother is 6. I studied in a bilingual christian school which is known as one of the best private schools in Honduras. I graduated in 2007 with honors, and then I went to switzerland as an exchange student for a year. I returned to my country in july 2008 and since then I have been studying architecture. I consider myself a responsible, honest, sincere, caring, respectful, goal oriented, organized and patient person, who is also a bit of an overachiever. The biggest influence in my life has been my family they have always taught me about being a righteous person with morals and values. About my family: My dad, Jonathan, is a business Administrator and my mom, Maribel, is a psychologist. My dad loves the outdoors, and he is passionate about horses. We have a country house which he visits every weekend, we go as a family whenever we have long weekends or vacations. There we usually have barbecues, we go horseback riding or enjoy swimming at the pool. My sister´s name is Michelle, she is 18. She just graduated and is going to italy as an au pair. My brother´s name is Jonathan, he is 6 and he is going to first grade this year... He's a very active boy, he enjoys watching tv, playing video games, playing outside, going for walks etc. I usually help him out with his homework, teach him to read and speak english, although its challenging because he tends to be a bit hyperactive we always have lots of fun together. We are a middle class family, you have probably heard that Honduras is a very poor country so I have learned to appreciate everything I have and I consider myself a very down to earth person. We have always lived in a beautiful home on the mountains. My parents have always tried to give us the best education they can. I've studied French and German, I graduated from an American school, I've taken swimming lessons, piano lessons, Horse back riding, Tennis, Art, and dance classes. I can speak fluent english and spanish, I speak decent german i would say ;) and I`ve forgotten most of my french but I´m sure I just need to practice it a bit.
Now I will tell you a bit about my hobbies and interests: I like reading, painting and drawing, playing tennis, horseback riding, learning different languages, meeting new people and learning about different cultures, I really enjoy traveling and learning about different places and types of architecture. I like going to cafes with my friends, or spending time at home with my family, working in the garden, or going for walks with my brother and the dog =). I am not a party girl, (I DON´T DRINK NOR SMOKE!) I prefer spending quality time with people, getting to know them and doing other fun activities.ough sometimes I do enjoy going out to dance (I´m a latina :))I also like trying new things and being spontaneous.
My goals and aspirations: I dream of becoming a successful architect, of traveling the world and learning about different cultures, of having a beautiful family and just enjoying life. Being an au pair/ babysitter is probably the best option for me a because I love spending time with children. I used to read to children at a public hospital.I have previously worked as a babysitter, and I work at a language school where I teach english and beginners german so I consider myself a very patient person. I have also practically raised my little brother, I changed his diapers when he was a baby, fed him, taught him to read, whenever I have time I do homework with him etc. Going to switzerland with AFS was an unforgettalbe experience, it was there that I realized that it was my dream to complete my studies in Europe. This time I am going to Europe at my own expenses, I think its time to give my parents a break; I want to make my own money and even save it to pay for my university studies.
I am sure its kind of difficult to know everything about a person through this message. You probably still have a million things you would like to know about me! So don't hesitate, ask me anything you want. I assure you that I am a devoted person who won´t disappoint you!I can´t wait to hear from you and your family! PS:If you want to know more about me you could probably ask my host family in Switzerland for references ;) sincerely, Kristell |
