| Hi my name is Kelsey , I am twenty one years old and have been a nanny/personal assistant for one four year old girl (Olivia) and her family since august 2007 and on occasion also watched her and her two step brothers ages five and seven. I grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma and graduate from Edmond Santa Fe high school in 2006. I have also finished two years of college and my basics. I absolutely love being a nanny and hope to find another family to help out. I am with Olivia just about everyday of the week (on weekends when needed). I love to keep active and don’t really like to just hang out in front of the television if at all possible. I also baby sit for some of my married friend’s about once a moth for their two adorable boys ages two and just recently one. I also have been in my church’s nursery with about 10-15 one and a half to three year olds every week and recently was placed as a young woman’s leader with about six 14-16 year olds as my students. I have a natural knack with kids (especially fussy ones), connect well with pre teens/teens, and am just an all round people person. I work well under pressure and am an excellent mediator. I am patient, however, I do not tolerate kids throwing fits or whining, not at home and especially not in public. Olivia had problems with this when I first started but I wave worked long and hard to break her of this habit. I would hope to have some support of this action, if needed, from the parents. I do not smoke and am actually allergic to cigarette smoke. With Olivia I try to do some sort of teaching everyday; Colors, shapes, number, reading, and counting ect. (I have also taught her to count in French and Spanish). I do light cooking and cleaning while at her house and run errands when ever her mother needs me to. I also take her to gymnastics every Wednesday and I do like to take her to museums, the park, Oklahoma’s science center, the zoo ect. I was home schooled until the ninth grade so I love the idea of getting to teach kids things at home as well as helping out with any homework they might have. As mush as I love to play I know school comes first and would always enforce home work to be done first. I can work with parents to coordinate schedules if needed.
Olivia’s father owns his own business and I have worked for him at the such : answering phones, answering client’s questions, calling clients, taking orders, running credit cards, closing out old projects, ect.
Also i was watching olvia's neighbor friends: jamilah age 4 and her brother iman age 6 along with olivia on some days and just them on others. Very busy.
I was CPR certified when I was twelve but am willing to refresh my memory for your comfort as well as my own. I also worked for a vet last year and love animals. I am very flexible with my schedule and understand things happen and am always willing to help when and where I can.
