Au Pair/Nanny job description

Live in Au Pair req. for 2 yr old boy/girl twins (toddlers). Parents work fulltime, Dad home in afternoons. Hours Mon - Fri 7.30am-1.30 or 2pm =32 hours max. plus babysitting one night per week. Duties: keep twins in routine of sleeping, feeding, playing & whatever else babies do! You will be resp. for everything relating to the twins... their washing/ironing, change bedding, keep their bedroom clean & tidy, make meals, encourage their development, walks, playgroups etc. Only other h/work reqd is to mop kitchen floor, empty dishwasher & make family one evening meal a week. We encourage you to make the most of your weekends in NZ, get out & about, persue sport/hobbies & explore the country. Suits an energetic, enthusiastic, organised person who loves children & likes routine. Non smoker essential. We live in sought after St Heliers close to several stunning beaches, next to bus routes, short walk to train station. 15 mins to City Centre by bus/car

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a New Zealand / French couple who are first time parents. Our au pair is leaving us soon, so we hope that you will help us, and have fun too. We warmly welcome you to our home and country, and as we have both lived away from home, we understand what it is like to be homesick. We encourage you to make friends, and travel around the area in your free time. You will have your own bedroom, but as we only have one bathroom, it will be shared. You will have the use of a car to take the babies to playgroups and activities, but unfortunately, not for your private use. We live in the beautiful suburb of St Heliers and in short walking distances from buses and trains stations which take 15mins to get to the City Centre. We live in a fantastic part of Auckland with several beautiful beaches within walking distance. We also have a family beach house for weekend trips away, which we would love you to join us on. We encourage you to make use of your free time to persue your favourite hobbies/sports or studies. We are looking for an Au Pair who wants to come to NZ. You must arrange their own working holiday visa, or student visa if you wish to study here.
