Au Pair job description

We need an aupair to look after one 5-year old child during afternoons, occasionally help with looking after the younger child (2 years), does light housework, prepares light lunches. Occasional babysitting during the evening. Around 25-30 hours a week. Would like someone with great enthusiasm, a happy person who enjoys their company and can teach them things.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Dear Au Pair, we are a very easy-going, friendly family in Malahide, Co. Dublin. Our children are 3 and 5 years old (boy and girl) and very outgoing. We live right by the sea, and the town is very charming. It has an English-language school (within walking distance to the house). To Dublin city centre it is 25 mins by train. We want to fully welcome an au pair in our house and treat her as part of the family. We are looking for a warm person who is very enthusiastic about kids and at the same time cares a lot about their well-being and safety and is patient. Some years experience in au-pair work or similar would be good. The focus of the job to spend afternoons with the children, do the homework, play with them, teach them in any particular interests you may have, prepare meals. We also require some help with light housework on a daily basis as we are both working. Occasional babysitting in the evenings (max. 1 x a week. We are looking forward to meet you!
