Au Pair job description

We are looking for a loving Au Pair to help us look after our 2 year old daughter, as both of us work full-time. It would include dropping her off to her creche (kindergarten) twice a week around 8-9am, and to pick her up from the creche each afternoon around 4-5pm. Generally we will be back from work around 7pm. We would love it if you could also entertain her Saturday mornings till around 10am and occasionally babysit her one night a week. Mainly we are after someone who will be a friend and playmate for her - as well as prepare her light meals in the afternoon +/- ocassional breakfasts. She is just starting potty training, so still uses disposable nappies. We would appreciate if you could help with cleaning around the house during the week (we have a weekly cleaner, so more the lighter duties of helping with cleaning up toys, washing and ironing). If you enjoy cooking you're welcome to share the cooking with us.

G'day dear Au Pair, we are a multicultural family (German and Australian) living in Dublin, Ireland,with our gorgeous, gentle but highly energetic blue eyed 2 year old daughter. We are raising her bilingually in both German and English. We are a non-smoking family. Not surprisingly with us having roots in both Australia and Germany we have a love of the outdoors - and know several lovely walking/hiking areas around Dublin. Further we have a fairly diverse enjoyment in food and have a well equiped kitchen to support this - prefering to cook fresh meals (rarely take away food). We love trying new things, so if you have any special recipes please bring them along and have fun in our kitchen :-). We live in a beautiful 3 storey town house in southern Dublin near the coast - nice quiet family suburban area with easy bus and train access to both the city centre, university and airport. There are multiple large parks nearby with great tracks for jogging, walking and in-line skating. The best beaches of Dublin are only 5-10min away, and there are lots of nearby Irish fresh produce markets almost daily. You'll have your own large attic bedroom with onsuite bathroom and double bed on the third level. We have wireless broadband set up which you'll be welcome to use. If you love spending time and playing with a 2 year old girl, enjoy music (an Irish harp has invaded our household) and good food you'll fit right in with us (and fall in love with our little lady). We'd prefer someone who can speak German with our daughter, as she gets limited exposure to it in Ireland.
