Au Pair/Nanny job description

The main focus at this point will be helping with the weekend and evening weekday care of our 3 year old twin daughters and 4 1/2 year old son. Additional duties include occasional pick up of kids from preschool, light cleaning and laundry.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear Aupair, Hello and welcome to our family. This is who we are… Stephanie: I was born in Denver. My Father was American and my Mother is Dutch. I lived in the Netherlands for 12 years with my Mother, attending high school and hotel management school. I speak Dutch and still have contact with all of my family there. I returned to the USA after school working for Hyatt hotels in Atlanta during the Olympics and then Hyatt in Denver where I met John. I now work in the mortgage business. John: I am the first American born in my German family. My Father is from Berlin an my Mother is from Kronberg near Frankfurt. I have spent much time in Germany with my family and relatives and speak fluent German. I grew up age 3 to 18 in Cincinnati Ohio. I started working for Hyatt hotels in Chicago as an apprentice cook in 1984 after high school. I am now the Executive Chef at the Grand Hyatt Denver. As Parents: Our children are our highest priority. We spend every free moment possible with them and have no greater joy than watching them grow and learn. We love to be outdoors and can’t wait to enjoy more and more activities with our children. Max: I am 4 years, 6 months. I am very active to say the least. I attend preschool 5 days a week, which is a blast. I have many friends at school and in the neighborhood. I know my ABCs and my numbers and am starting to read. I am always on the go and love to climb, ride my bike and play with my friends, Mom and Dad and my sisters. I have had great relationships with my last 2 nannies and can’t wait to meet and get to know you. Grace and Julia: We are 3 years, 2 months. Although we’re identical twins, we are at the same time very much the same and very different. We are always together, yet very independent. We go to the same preschool as Max during the week. We love to spend time with Mom and Dad, each other and to play with our big brother. We’ll be spending a lot of time with you and look forward to many good times. We all: Love Colorado. The climate, the people and the lifestyle are all outstanding and unique. We’re very fortunate to be able to enjoy both the city life in Denver and the Mountain life with our home in Breckenridge. We live in a very family oriented neighborhood with so many young kids it is unbelievable. We chose to live in our current location for it’s convenient location to the city and our jobs as well as the great neighbors and convenience to parks and stores. Our home is modern and spacious and allows for intimate cozy family space/time as well as providing enough space for all of us to find privacy when that’s what we’re looking for. There is a wealth of information easily available on the internet and we’d be happy to provide you with written information on anything that you cannot find online. We have a strong interest in raising our children with an understanding of the world in a broad sense and exposing them to as many different cultures, languages and people as possible. We feel a global connection through our upbringing with parents from countries other than the USA that we’d like to maintain that for ourselves and develop it for our children.
