Au Pair's Message to Families

I am 23 years old from New York City and will be relocating with my boyfriend to Berlin in January 2009. I am looking for a family to apply my expertise with children. I have worked with children ages six months to sixteen years for the past seven years. I will bring to your family a warm, caring, energetic persona. I have a great sense of humor and a passion for working with children. My boyfriend and I are currently employed at the largest children’s enrichment facility in New York City (). On a weekly basis, we do everything from teaching a preschool program, gymnastics from six months through twelve years, sports classes, and on weekends leading children’s birthday parties. We are constantly creating and experimenting with new curriculum that is the cornerstone of our company. We are looking to take all of the skills and techniques we have learned over our combined fifteen years of experience, along with our natural ability to teach and engage children at every age level, and applying it to life with a family. We are both very creative and artistic. I am an actress and have starred in various independent films filmed in the New York area. I also enjoy working on theatre. My boyfriend is an aspiring musician and photographer. He is also TEFL certified to teach English to foreigners. We both share the passion for traveling and exploring the world, which has led us to the decision to move abroad for a while. After visiting Berlin last year we fell in love with the city and its warm artistic atmosphere. We know basic German, and are learning more every day.
