Baden-Baden, Baden-Wurttemberg - Host Family at a Glance
40-something family, primarily German, living in Germany. Family speaks English, French, German, and Italian. Looking for a female Au Pair or Nanny. Our aupair will need to have a driver's license. Light housekeeping is required, and we will not accept an aupair that smokes.
Welcoming, down to earth family looking for English-speaking Au Pair for our 4 yr old son. English native speakers only plse. We're flexible on age range/pay. Plse note: family language spoken at home is mostly English, some German, but a lot of German socialising during the day& you can go to German classes if you wish (we'd pay for your course). Child's mother works from home free-lance, but may have to travel a few days per month, sometimes away over night. In this case you'd have extra house-help & a second family with small child in the same building). If you are comfortable with these 2 points, we'd hope that you'd become part of the family. We believe in a sense of humour, fairness and mutual trust. You'd be doing your reasonable share of helping in the house (we have a cleaner though), help w breakfast, tidying up, take child to kindergarden (am. only), read& play with him. We'd hope for an arrangement of 30-35 hrs p.week (5 days on, Sat-Sun off).
Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies
Dear Au-pair, we're a welcoming, multi-lingual family: one parent (mum)working mostly from home (free-lance), dad spends a lot of time abroad on business. We used to live in the UK, now last few years in the sunny south of Germany. Our son (4) is lively, active, curious and caring. He loves nature & the outdoors (he goes to a "forest kindergarten", also called "outdoor pre-school". You should be a warm, mature, responsible and reliable person, well spoken, with a love of nature and the outdoors, with a sense of fun but also a sense of proportion.
We live in a beautiful setting in an internationally known spa town on the edge of the Black Forest, within sight of France (15 mins drive), and 1 1/2 hrs drive to Switzerland. This is a very unique place which can be as cosmopolitan and international or as country-and-nature loving as you would wish it to be. Our house is situated among parkland and gardens, but we are only 10 minutes' stroll away from the town centre with excellent shops, cafés and department store, theatre, library, language school, cinema and renowned concert hall. - We offer spacious accommodation, a good size room for the au pair with her own bathroom. We like music, art, nature, horse riding (mum & boy ride at easy-going stables nearby, and out in the country) relaxing with friends (of all nationalities) over a meal at home, travelling & sense of humour. It would be good if you wanted to join us in some of the travel (mostly Europe or UK). Do contact us for more information, detailed interview profile and photos! We'd love to hear from you.
