Au Pair's Message to Families

Hey future family! ;) My name's Kristi, I turn 22 this month in October, and just graduated from an elite private college in South Carolina, US. I moved out to Dallas, TX because my family got transferred here, and I'm currently job searching. I haven't found anything that has caught my attention, and a girl in my sorority used this website and was an au pair in France as well. I began babysitting in 6th grade at my church. I worked there every Sunday and Wednesday nights until my sophomore year in college. I also was a nanny for two summers, keeping a baby of 13 months and a 5 year old girl. In highschool, I was a counselor at a children's camp in NC for 2 summers. I also babysat after school in highschool at the local YMCA. I have had first aid and CPR training. I also was a lifeguard for 1 summer in highschool. And while I was away at college, I began to take care of a professor's 2 children (Jenna - since she was 2 and Taylor - since he was 4.) They are now 4 and 7. I would pick them up from school, take them home, prepare snacks, do homework with Taylor, and play with the both of them about 1-2 days a week when the mom went in to work. I don't know what my calling in life is, but I have a true love and passion for kids. They absolutely bring a smile to my face, and it's so rewarding to be a role model for young children. Also, I lived in Nantes, France for 5 months last year for part of my international business degree, so I've lived in France. My older sister was an assistant teacher in Annecy and got to visit with her for a week. I speak French (intermediate level), and I would love to be given the opportunity to go back to France, live there and have an amazing family to take care of and become a part of, and eventually improve my French well enough after my stay with the family to begin job searching in France (but believe me, my undivided attention will be given to the children and the family for as long as I am needed in my stay!!) I'm very loyal, loving, passionate, funny, LOVE to laugh, passion for music - I used to sing, going for beautiful walks in the park, I am obsessed with animals - they brighten my smile as well as children! I play the piano as well. Used to play sports growing up and did intramural sports in college - baseketball, volleyball, cheerleading, high jump. I am a Christian - I pray but I don't attend church.
