After raising two boys of my own I've decided it's what I do best. I believe in positive, encouraging, self esteem building input but do not argue or have prolonged conversations about set guidelines. I believe a child should be taught to respect and obey authority but also have the freedom to express their individual needs and likes. As a Christian I have a very competent and time proven book that guides me in my interaction with children. I believe strong character in a child should be directed in a positive manner toward a goal that both satisfies the child and the caregiver. Sometimes those 'outburst of self will' are just a sign that a child is not being challenged with goals and tasks that they are gifted and skilled to accomplish. My goal is to help them find those areas of life that meet the needs of their personality. I believe love is the main ingredient in dealing with children. Phrases like, "You did great", "I'm so proud of you", and "This was a great try, you'll do much better next time" are all a must in speaking into a child's life. Kids seem to take to me easily and I love to play and have fun with them. Not one for sticking them in front of a tv for entertainment. I'm a neat, well organized person who finds keeping things tidy a natural task.
