| Dear Au Pair,
We are currently all set with our au pair until the summer of 2009. She will leave by the end of August, so we will need an other au pair again in August / September 2009. So, if you're looking for a position next year, please read on!
We (Jos and Ann) are a Dutch couple who lived and worked outside the Netherlands for several years, including 5 years in Belgium, a year in France and 4 years in the US (Greenwich, CT). Our youngest daughter, Julia (6) was born there. Sophie (10) grew up in Greenwich for a large part of her life and is fully bilingual. Thanks to our previous US au pairs, Julia now speaks quite a bit of English too. Both girsl are very much used to having an au pair in the house and love it (as do we).
We are looking for an au pair to help us take care of our girls. We need flexibility: both Jos and I have demanding jobs with fairly long hours, so we need live-in help to look after the girls. Further, we like to give them extra attention in the form of another adult to teach and show them interesting things with a different outlook. A North-American touch is also most welcome: the English language, but also the American culture with Halloween, s´mores, etc. And some extra help around the house to keep things tidy and running smoothly. Also, if the rare opportunity to do something as a couple presents itself unexpectedly, we like to be able to do so.
We currently live in a beautiful, restored home in Amersfoort (30 minutes from Amsterdam, 15 minutes from Utrecht), with a separate room & bath for our au pair. It is possible that we will move to Amsterdam in the not too distant future.
As both girls are in school until noon (on Wed. and Fri.) or 3 PM (the other week days) you will have time to pursue other interests (classes, sports, volunteer work, etc.) during the day.
We are looking for a loving, active, representative and enthusiastic girl to help us take care of the girls and do fun and interesting things with them. Kind of a big sister for them. The au pair we are looking for obviously loves kids. You like to play with children and teach them things. You are independent, yet would also like to become part of our family.
We hope this gives you a good idea of our family. If our proposition is appealiing to you, please let us know!
Kind regards,
Jos & Ann |
