| Hello Families!
My name is Lauren, and I am a 22 (soon to be 23) year old female from Cleveland, Ohio in the United States of America. I currently reside in New York City and I work for a fashion magazine. Life here is amazing, but it is expensive! I recently just moved back from Salamanca Spain where I was living with a family and two girls, ages 8 and 12. I miss my Spanish familia so very much! I love Europe and am looking to find a family that I can be a part of (so that I dont miss my family at home so very much) while I am abroad. I speak Spanish and English fluently, but am I a very quick learner at languages and adore learning new things. My favorite things to do generally revolve around sports. I was a sprinter on scholarship in college and play golf, tennis, and sail with my family. I am very athletic and love to be outside and playing. I absolutely adore animals, although sadly I am allergic to cats. I have my own dog although he does not live with me because my flat is too small! I love to read and write. I could spend my whole life reading and sailing around the world. I also enjoy theatre and music very much. So I would love to explore the cultural things your city has to offer. I am a very bright and happy go lucky person who loves to play and teach. My childcare experience was as a tennis and theatre instructor at a sleep away camp. The girls in my cabin were only 6 years old and there were 8 of them. So that was a handful! I also sat for a family consistently in college and have taken on many babysitting jobs since living in New York City. Lastly, I had an Au Pair growing up when I was 8 years old. I know very well about how a new person in your child's life will influence them in the long term. I also maintain a close relationship with my old Au Pair and feel that I am very ready to take on this important challenge and responsibility.
