Nanny's Message to Families

I am currently looking for a family in the LA area. I am a 20 year old female from New Britain, Connecticut. At the age of 4, my family left CT and we moved to Houston, TX where I lived till I was 12. I have also lived in Kansas City, KS and Saint Augustine, FL. I graduated from high school in May of 2006. I moved to CA 3 weeks ago. I have spent the last two years in Atlanta, GA as a nanny. I have a total of 4.5 years of nanny experience. I love children and I love the growing and learning experience of being a nanny. Prior to becoming a nanny I worked for 9.5 months in a Child Care Center. Since the age of about 10 years old I have always been the one left responsible for the care of children. I have cared for twins, new borns, and multiple children households. I have worked with children from o- 11 yrs old. I am very good with kids and they seem to love me. I have taken kids to the Beach, Trick or Treating, Museums, Ice Skating, Bowling etc... I've played make believe, and ride the horsy. I've given piggy back rides and doctored boo boos. As you have probably come to realize I love Kids. I plan on being a labor and delivery nurse. The next year and a half or so my classes will be online til I start clinicals so I am pretty flexible. If you know what your looking for you will know its me :) As far as DISCIPLINE goes--- I believe in no contact discipline. Time outs are appropriate and eye contact a must. I love helping kids develop. Just respond and ask me any ?'s. I know how to love and nurture one of lifes most perfect gifts. After all, I am very mature for my age, if you met me you'd see that. What would a simple call hurt! Also I have some great references!
