Au Pair/Nanny job description

The #1 requirement for our nanny is her desire to stimulate, love and interact with the children:))) We are looking for a responsible nanny who wants to TRULY interact with Claire and Chloe---specifically, playing outside with them on their bikes, in the pool, on the playground, at the park, having lemonade stands, or talking walks, playing games, painting, cooking, or doing crafts and homework. Secondarily, their laundry, their meals, cleaning of their areas, mostly kitchen--filling/emptying dishwasher/trash. Keeping their rooms clean--bedding, vacuuming, cleaning their bathroom---toliet, mirror, countertop, tub, floor. The nanny will do some grocery shopping, errands--transporting children to/from activities. Our goal is to hire a mature, responsible young woman who is SELF-MOTIVATED and ORGANIZED. We are excited about Claire and Chloe having a "big sister"!

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a fun, active family living in Louisville, Ky, home of the Kentucky Derby! Denise is a dentist and Scott is a homebuilder. Scott built our home 8 years ago. You would have your own bedroom/bath and is at the opposite end of the house from our bedroom----separate stairway. Our experiences with our previous nannies have been wonderful!!! We are happy to give their names and numbers to you as references! You would have your own car----1992 Lexus LS 400, cell phone, computer access, food. Car insurance is provided. We have a pool so we need someone who can swim and who is very conscientious with the children around the pool! Claire, 7, is in second grade 5 days/week and takes the bus to school and the nanny picks her up in the afternoon. Chloe is 4 and is in 4 day half day preschool on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. She loves interactive play and is a "sponge" in learning. It is important that the nanny keep them busy and stimulated. Chloe attends dance one day a week and gymnastics. Claire takes dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, and is a Brownie (first step of Girl Scouts). Both girls like active play/entertainment. The work schedule would be close to the following: (mom's schedule): Mondays,Tuesdays: 1:30pm-8:30pm Wed,Thursdays--8am-6pm. Fridays: Denise is off, so it is an easier day, nanny may help a half day One Sat./month, Denise works 8-3. Scott and Denise have date night, usually, on Saturday nights. Denise has one meeting/month on the 2nd Wed.----6-9pm. Denise is a director for two local pageant preliminaries and is very involved with pageantry. Scott sometimes has evenings meetings and his bookeeper comes one night/week to work in the home. Louisville is an awesome city and all of our nannies have made great friends here. In fact, 2 previous nannies have made it their home and have gotten married! We attend a wonderful church, Southeast Christian Church. Our home is within 10-15 minutes of shopping, churches, school, grocery, etc. We have a swing set for the children, pool, and pool table. We are very FLEXIBLE and are looking for the same in our nanny.
