Au Pair's Message to Families

Currently, I'm living with a family in the Netherlands, taking care of 4 boys (ages 5, 3 and twins 1 year). It can be a handful at times but I'm really enjoying myself and I feel very lucky to have had such a neat experience. I think it's alot of fun being around kids, and they're the perfect excuse to act like a complete goofball. I'm constantly dancing and singing and making monkey noises. Everyday is something new. Unfortunatley, my time here will be up in March 2009. Wow, how time flies! After that, I plan on taking a month to tour Western Europe, than I'm open for anything. Since I'm already in Europe, I was thinking I'd love to take a few shorter term (1 to 6 months) positions in other EU countries, but if the family is right, I'll go anywhere for any length. I'd love to hear more about you if you're interested because the family environment is the most important. I was raised in Los Angeles/Orange County (California USA) and I love the outdoors, camping, fishing, trees, animals, etc. Growing up, my family raised foster children for many years. I'm quite comfortable with children of all ages and I really am eager to find a position that fits. Also, though I am a fast learner, I prefer to speak my own language, which is a bonus if you want your children to learn English. It really amazes me how much English the 5 year old speaks now. Sometimes I forget he even speaks Dutch. He also constantly sings Hey Jude :) and Come on Baby Light My Fire I'm a great swimmer and I love the water. I also love animals. Dogs, horses, pigs, rats, you name it. I'm not sure what else to say. I can drive a stick shift (manual) vehicle and cook well enough.
