| Dear Family,
My name is Renata . I am 25 years old and I live with my mother, my brother and my grandmother. We live in Rio de Janeiro city in Brazil.
I have a wonderful and big family to which I count on very much. They give me much support and Love and this is one of the reasons that I feel confident that I can face this challenge of living outside.
I have a little cousin named Bernardo who I love so very much and he is also my godson. He is five years old and is very smart. Since he was born he uses to spend much time at my place and some weekends too. I pick him up at school and take him to a different place where we can play and have fun, like a play ground, a theater, to the beach. Now he is learning to read and is very proud about that. So we read books together and is something we both Love very much. When his mother needs to go out to solve something, she leaves Bernardo with me and I just love having him around.
I'm a very dedicate person, patient, affectionate and funny. I like to hear and to talk to people. I have values I value the most and to which I am very committed to. I feel proud of my family who taught me and inspired me the most important value like honesty, sincerity, loyalty and mainly respect, for myself and for everyone.
My hobbies are using the computer, reading books, studying. I love knowing and learning new things and also teaching. So I try to teach my little nephew in his lessons and homework. I like parks, beaches and spending sometime on the sun. I like dancing, music and movies.
My younger brother who travelled recently to Australia to study loved the experience of living outside and learned many important things. Now it seems to be my time of experiencing the same. I chose United States because I believe this Country will fulfill all my expectations, specially to get fluency in the English idiom.
I think important to point out that I always loved to be and take care of children. This is something natural on me and the kids feel that and use to like me the same way. They think I am funny because I play much with them but I know the great responsibility and importance of been rigid with kids when necessary once that they test us all the time. So with love and patience we can show them what is right and also what is wrong to they grow healthy and safe and become good adults. I It is important to say that we also learn a lot with the kids. They are sincere, expontaneous, they love and show that love without expecting anything in return and, very important, they forgive so easily! We, adults, show learn these things with them.
I had a great experience taking care of two children of some friends for a time. Fernanda is now at 10 year old and Joao Pedro is 11. I took care of them for almost 7 years. I took them to the school and picked them too, taking them home and preparing their meals. I helped them a few with their homework and in the free time we used to spend playing, watching movies or I took them to the playground or to the beach. They had swimming classes twice a week and I took them also, waiting for the end of the class to bring them back to home. It was a part time job and I loved the time I spent with them. Besides it was a very good experience that taught me a lot about responsibility and commitment.
I expect to be au pair and living this experience conciliating the interest of studying in other country, another culture and work with kids, something I like very much. I believe I Will be a good au pair because I know already how to deal with kids once that I experienced this before. I have the necessary qualities to take this responsibility and I am feel confident that I can do this and correspond to the family expectations too. I hope to meeting a family that makes me feel welcome and I am sure we all will Interact perfectly well.
My Au Pair agency is AuPair Care.
My sincere regards.
