Au Pair job description

My husband and I both have jobs with irregular work schedules so we are looking for a warm, motivated, creative, and reliable aupair to help us care for our two-year old daughter. In the fall she will begin going to pre-school (which is in the same street as our house) so we would need you to pick her up around noon, make sure she gets lunch and otherwise care for her until we return home in the afternoon or evening. We would also require some light housework, such as keeping the kitchen tidy and doing some laundry.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

We are an active, sports-loving German-Canadian family and have just moved to a new location, Mainz, Germany, an historic city with a large university. It is located near Frankfurt, directly in the spectacular Rhine river valley. We have regular bus and train service to Mainz and Frankfurt and excellent train and flight connections to Europe and the rest of the world. We are looking for someone who will help to make this a smooth transition for our daughter by being a caring, creative, and trusting companion for her. We are a very active family and love sports in general, but especially running, swimming, biking, golf, soccer, and tennis. We are certain any sports lover would feel at home with us. Although both English and German are spoken in our home, we would be very supportive of our aupair's desire to learn German. There are numerous opportunities for language classes in the direct vicinity. We have no country preference. The important thing is that you are motivated to come to Germany and have an amazing experience here!
