| Dear Family, I am a fun loving active person who loves to be around children. I am a happy, energetic, organized and independent person.
A little about myself. I am 24 years old and have worked with children for most of my life. I have been babysitting for families off and on since I was about 11 years old, which many times included overnight stays and light to moderate housekeeping and occasional family cooking.
When I was 17, I worked for my high school's Daycare Center, which catered mainly to special needs children and low income families. My time there was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about special needs children and how to help them with there daily routines. I would gladly work with a special needs child again if I had the chance.
After I graduated from high school I got my CNT/CNA (Certified Nurse Technician Certificate) and worked at a nursing home taking care of Alzheimer's patients which I thought was a wonderful learning experience.
Since my time working as a CNA I have had many wonderful experiences working as a babysitter and nanny for several different families. My most recent position is for a wonderful family of 5 in Dallas, the children are currently 5, 7, and 11.. I was with them just shy of a year. There middle child is disabled and is my little angel baby.
I also spend much of my spare time sitting for other families in the area. I hope to continue to babysit in my spare time with other families in the Dallas area as well. I also hope that in my spare time I can volunteer in local church daycare centers and/or with Habitat for Humanity.
I am just recently finished school for my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and plan to further my education by getting my BA or MBA in Education in the next 5 years. I do enjoy continuing my education and hope that I can save enough money to continue to to do so.
I have a Specialist Degree in the care of domestic and farm animals so if you have any pets, I would be happy to take care of them as well and I know what measures to take in an animal emergency as well as a with a child.
My life goal is to work alongside children and see them grow into happy, healthy, and productive adults. I believe strongly in early education in addition to lots of fun activities. I enjoy taking kids to the zoo, playground, library, and all the other fun places that kids love, with little or no TV! I always try to make every fun activity into a learning experience.
Some of my hobbies include: Reading, surfing the Internet, watching limited TV, going to the movies, taking walks, shopping, and talking with friends.
I am a very reliable person. When I say I'm going to do something, I do it. I also pride myself on being on time or early! I'm smoke free, drug free, have a perfect driving record and have just recently purchased a 2008 Honda Fit, so I can drive your children if needed and you can be assured they're in a safe vehicle. I am very insistent that all children under 10 in my care, when in a car, have an appropriate car seat or booster. My preference is the Britax brand.
Ideally I am looking for a long-term, part time position but am very open to a full time and/or short term position for the right family. I am also open to positions that would include overnight time, and weekends.
My salary is negotiable, depending on duties, number of children and hours.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Please feel free to write to me and I will answer questions about my self and my nanny "style" on a per family basis because I think that every family and every child is unique and I don't like to give cookie cutter answers! :)
I am looking forward to talking to you and hope you will take the time to consider me as your nanny! |
