Nanny's Message to Families

Dear Family, Hi there! My name is Christina and i am a 22 year old college student. I currently live in San Antonio, Texas but will soon be relocating to Daytona Beach, Florida. Let me start by telling you a little about myself! I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida and moved to Texas when i was 17. I am the oldest of five kids and come from a very close knit Christian family. I have always loved kids, so when i graduated high school i immediately got a job at a local daycare working with the two and three year olds. I absolutely loved my class and watched them grow from toddlers to Kindergarteners. When the time came for me to decide on a college major, it was a no brainer. Early childhood development and Child Psychology are my passion, so being able to study them in college and then apply them to enrich the lives of children, is a dream come true. When i decided to become a nanny i was very fortunate to find an amazing family that will always hold a special place in my heart. I was with them for two years and could not have asked for a better experience. I loved it so much that i ended up working for two families as i progressed through school. I have been blessed to find two wonderful families, with bright and loving children, but unfortunately the time has come to take my studies to a university with higher degree programs. I hope to find a family in Florida who will be not just an employer, but a family. I am very active and encourage learning through creativity and positive reinforcement. Art, music, reading, swimming, writing and food activities are some of the ways i like to engage and expand on a Childs love of learning. I have worked with newborn - 6th grade, but i have the most experience with two and three year olds :] I am going to be Moving from Texas to Florida October 20th 2008, and will be available immediately if needed.
