| Dear Family, I am an experienced au pair in the San Diego Area. I currently teach bilingual education at a public kindergarten until the summer ends. I have also worked in the Labor and Delivery Ward at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA. I am not an au pair out of desperation or lack of education (I am college graduate), but out of a deep desire to be a positive influence in the lives of children. I thought about earning a teaching credential, however, I am not too keen on the idea of a school system that crams 20-30+ children into a small room with one person that cannot possibly provide the kind of care, stimulation and attention that each unique individual needs.
My last au pair position was for a family in the Spanish Riviera. While living with the family I acted as an older sister and was responsible for the daily transportation, feeding and activites of two lovely girls age 7 and 11. I was also charged with teaching the girls English through structured daily classes which I personally designed. I am athletic and fun and would love to do outside activities with your children as much as possible. I am looking for a full or part-time position and would prefer a live-in or live-out position. I am excited to work with you. Best Regards, Justine |
